You can take Freddie with you!

I have read just about all of the Freddie books out there. This one I really enjoyed and continue to go back to it to read and look at the pictures. It is a small book and you can throw it in your purse or pocket! For such a little book, it goes into detail about Freddie life and the life of a true rock star. It is a good book to start off your journey in to the world of Freddie Mercury! I highly recommend this book--a must read!

I purchased this book and am here to say, don't bother. This is a tiny tome about 3x4 inches and has about that much info inside it. The best thing about it is the photo of FM on the front cover! What a disappointment.

She has worked in various positions from library assistant, meter maid, middle school teacher, B movie production assistant, reality show crew chauffeur, D movie producer, and her most fulfilling job to date, lube and harness specialist at an erotic boutique in West Hollywood.

Her interests include Wonder Woman collectibles, cookies, James Taylor, quality hip-hop, football, American muscle cars, large breed dogs, and the ocean. When she's not working, writing, reading, or sleeping, she is watching Ken Burns documentaries and cartoons or taking dance classes. If given the chance, she will cheat at UNO. She was raised in Southern New Hampshire and now lives in Southern California with an individual who is much more tech savvy than she ever will be. Better Off Red is her first novel.

Very enjoyable and sexy

A few months ago I don't think anyone would have caught me dead with a paranormal romance and now I am actively seeking them out lol. I found myself very pleased with this novel as I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. I definitely thought this book was a fantastic first novel for the author. There were very few editing errors and the storytelling flowed quite nicely.

Ginger was quite likable and her instant attraction to Camila was quite believable. There was a ton of sex in this book (thats a good thing imho) and it was well done with quite a bit of variety. Another good thing was how well the secondary characters were handled. There were several girls that were all very well written and I never once got them mixed up. The novel actually went to a place at the end that I really didn't expect and am not sure that I find terribly believable. Still I am in for the long haul now. Looking forward to seeing where the author takes these characters. I'm being vague as I don't want to slip an accidental spoiler. Still I have to say that if you enjoy paranormal stuff I think this is well worth your time. I will definitely be on the lookout for this author in the future! 4/5 Well done!

What a delightfully sexy read!

I loved the fact that Rebekah managed to establish so much of Ginger's character so quickly, and to weave so many other layers into the tale. I wasn't expecting to have so much of the sorority (and its queen) exposed so early on, but I loved the mythology Rebekah created. I was equally surprised to find the story developing into a passionate romance, with Ginger and Camila's relationship turning out far differently than I expected, but it was precisely what I had (in retrospect) hoped for.

Almost the very definition of a paranormal romance, this is a book that exceeded my expectations, and fulfilled my hopes. It's well-written, incredibly sexy, and as full of emotional satisfaction as it is physical. I wouldn't dream of spoiling the ending, but I will say this - it literally had me throwing my hands in the air, squealing with girlish glee, at the wonder of it all. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for whatever Rebekah has to offer next!

Amazing Book with an Amazing Plot

I've read Rebekah's stuff ever since I found one of her stories on fanfiction.net. Naturally, hearing she wrote a book about such a wonderful topic, I decided to buy it-- and I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. This is the only book of its kind I've ever read, as usually lesbian romances are either light and don't really have much romance, or they're troubled in some way to show adversity and such. This... This is just a perfect book, full of wonderfully created characters, amazing sex scenes, and a REALLY good plot.

I'd rate this as one of the top books I've ever read-- and as an avid reader, that's saying something. To anyone who likes a good lesbian-themed story full of plot and smut both, as well as an actually decent variation of vampires, I'd definitely recommend reading this.

Looking forward to receiving the next book in the series, I definitely imagine it won't disappoint!

Not Just a Pretty Face

My name is Shelley Ellis, and ever since I got a digital camera, I knew there was more I could do with it than just shoot pictures of pretty flowers. Then, I discovered the world of digital art. I was in awe, like seeing the works of Picasso or Dali for the first time. However, like those great artists, they seemed magical and unattainable...that is until I found Susan Tuttle's book, Digital Expressions.

Seriously, I am not at all exaggerating when I say that she combines the best of both of these worlds. Her book could simply be thumbed through and enjoyed by viewing the stunning digital art inside, but the best part is her clear and concise, step-by-step instructions so YOU can create your own piece of art based on the sample. And I truly do mean clear and understandable instructions. As a retired teacher, I know how to give instructions in small steps - so a 2nd grader can follow them - and Susan (a former teacher herself!) does an excellent job of foreseeing and explaining any trouble spots or questions that may come up along the way.

The first 20 pages of Digital Expressions are devoted to a review of how to use Photoshop Elements. Susan says it's not to be used as a replacement for the instruction manual...but, if you're like me, you probably never really took the time to actually read through the entire manual. Or if you did, after a while it all ran together. The first 20 pages in Digital Expressions made it all clear to me. I especially loved her yellow "Digital Detail" boxes where she highlights information or tips that come in particularly handy.

Oh! Just in case all of this isn't enough... Susan is generous enough to include a CD with the book loaded with images to get you started and help you along the way. I am so happy I bought this book. It's just exactly what I needed with 25 different project ideas such as: altering vintage photos, giving photos a hand tinted look, creating sweet realistic looking drawings, adding words to images, layers of backgrounds, photo montages....and so much more!

Author shows you how you can create ART WITH PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS!

The book is more inspirational in ideas than a very detailed book of projects.

I like this author a lot and she does provide instructions in her book.

I just wish it had more ideas for projects in it.

This will not deter me from getting any of her other books.

If you want to know what Photoshop Elements can do outside the realm of just fixing photos- this book is worth buying for that purpose.

YOU CAN CREATE ART with PSE- but most users are unaware of how to do that.
Tuttle shows exactly what you can do with some guidance and your own imagination.

Secrets Revealed

One hit wonder? Not a chance! Susan's second book on creating digital art and she's out done her first book in so many ways! Not only is her second book filled to the brim with detailed lesson after lesson, but the quality of the book itself is amazing. From the page design and layout to the quality of the paper. I can be a bit obsessive about how a book "feels" as well, and this is top notch.

Five chapters with 25 lessons in how to deconstruct the amazing pieces of art that I've admired in magazines and books for years. Being someone that has been intimidated with Photoshop & Photoshop Elements in the past, Susan has laid out step by step instructions that even the hesitant can appreciate. If it wasn't enough that the step by step instructions are simple to follow, she's included a CD full of photos and textures so you don't have to worry about having the "right" picture in your personal stash.

I know I'm gushing here, but I've always been in awe of these types of manipulated photographs and am now able to produce my own. Susan's teaching her secrets this Fall at Valley Ridge Art Studio ([...]) in Wisconsin and I cannot wait to meet her in person and dig deeper in to the art of digital art.

Loved Every Word

I'm not sure a short review can do this book justice but I will try. The author, Rebecca Phillips, has done an incredible job of creating a coming of age story that is well worth your time. Taylor is probably one of the most interesting characters that I've come across - this 15 almost 16 year old girl lives in a subtle tornado of emotion as she struggles to deal with heartbreak and trust issues. Her mother is emotionally distant, controlling and so close minded that I wanted to reach into the book and give her a shake. Taylor spends her weekends with her father and his wife and it is while she is staying with them that she meets Michael. The story evolves around their relationship as well as Taylor's relationship with her parents.

Michael is a couple of years older than Taylor and that alone is the catalyst that sets the tone for further conflict with her totally unreasonable mother and therefore with her father who agrees with her mother out of guilt for leaving his first family behind. Michael is a very hot, decent and likeable guy but he's not without his faults. The secondary characters, Robin, Ashley, Lynn, Erin, Elena and Brian are well developed and they all add something to the story. There is one thing I would like to mention - this is a very realistic and extremely well written story that tackles some tough issues - sex, drugs, drinking, parental distance and infidelity. If you find any of these things offensive then perhaps you should look elsewhere. The author has done an amazing job at capturing what real life is like for these characters and I would hate to see her criticized (as I have seen so many times before)for being forthright and honest about their activities. This is a Young Adult novel and not a children's book.

I have already purchased the second book and I'm halfway through it. It is amazing so far - it has several new characters and a boatload of conflict.

Thanks for a great book! I am definitely looking forward to reading more from this author in the future. Well Done!

Such a cute story. Typical high school scene of dating, cheating, drinking, etc. but sweet story of the romance that blossoms between the two main characters. I liked that their relationship was slower but was headed in the direction of a lasting relationship rather than the typical wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am high school drama relationship. Also liked that the parents were present and involved in their kids' lives for the most part. So many books portray absentee parents and not all kids raise themselves! Looking forward to the next book and hopefully they will last thru him going to college!
