About the Author
Merrill F. Unger (1909-1980) received ThM and ThD degrees from Dallas Theological Seminary and a PhD from Johns Hopkins. He served in pastoral ministry and later taught at Gordon Divinity School and Dallas Theological Seminary. He is perhaps best known for his classic study and reference volume, Unger's Bible Handbook.

So thorough

This is such a thorough treatment of the subject that I left with very few unanswered questions. Some of those questions have to do with modern demon posession, which he touches on, but not deeply.

Unger grounds his study deeply in the Old and New Testaments giving us a breadth and depth of insight on the war going on behind the scenes since the Fall. If the bible does not cover the topic it is not in this book, and I love that. Far too often sensationalists write to solve problems and address situations using scripture that does not apply. The only weakness I find with this great resource is its dispensational presuppositions concerning the Last Days, but that is a small thing. Over all this is a book that would benefit every Christian.

Excellent scholarly work.

Biblical Demonology deals with a topic so rife in our culture, yet neglected by pastors the world over. Ask the average church-going individual if a Christian can be possessed and count how many different answers you get. Ask the average missionary if they have ever encountered demonic forces. You'd be amazed at the disparity! And yet few authors tackle the subject with such scholarly attention. This is by far the best book I have ever read on the topic of demonology. There is little substance not backed with references for further study. Unger's work is a great addition to any pastor's library. It answers questions raised by society. Great for dealing with those "Paranormal Activity" buffs. Great read!

Very academic. Written by a well educated man of god. Scripturally accurate. Excellent exposition on the doctrine of demonolgy. If you are of the charasmatic bent or want to rid demons from your city, you will be disappointed. If you are seeking truth in regard to this doctrine, get it!

Another great read from Alana Sapphire.

This is an amazing short read.
I fell in love with Rick right from the beginning. By the way, where can I get one of him for my own? He made himself who he was by sleeping around and not getting attached and not dating anyone from the company. Kelly is a determined young woman who has had a thing for her boss's boss. She also lived by a rule when she works, no dating a co-worker and just to maintain friendships with whoever she encounters. Until one day they cross paths and things change for them both.
Kelly is a strong willed character, I love how Alana makes her females come off as strong and independent, that's what got me hooked on her writing in the first place. Rick is a soft but rather demanding male, yet another quality I love about her work. Her ability to throw in a bit of a twist in this book made me read the whole thing in 1 sitting. I would have loved to have read more about them. I am looking forward to reading more from Alana in the future. Keep up the good work!

Short, sweet and oh so steamy love story. Triple Check.

Honestly, I wasn't entirely sure what I was getting into when I picked this book up to read it earlier. I only knew it was going to be a short read and it definitely was. It was paced quite quickly, but honestly, it was sweet.

Kelly has been crushing pretty hard on her boss's boss for like ever, though up until the beginning of this story it's been from afar as they've never had the pleasure of meeting. But once they do, once Rick sees his woman, the chemistry, the need and the want, well it's off the charts. He's consumed by her just as much as she is with him, and with the emotional got wrenching reads I've been reading lately, it was a nice switch.

Loved it. All of it. Will definitely be checking out more from this author in the future.

Ahhhhh! Another great read from Ms. Alana Sapphire. While a complete difference from her MC series, you still can't help but admire the way she weaves a story and makes you fall in love with her characters. In this sexy novella we meet Kelly, who is in love with her boss Rick, who of course has no clue she exists let alone that she's head over heels for him. It is fast paced but it didn't feel rushed to me. It had that feeling of completion one gets after reading a full length novel with an epilogue. I love that Kelly never loses sight of her goals and stands strong in her morals and feelings even if it means walking away from the love of her life. Who doesn't love a heroine with a backbone? There is a little drama towards the end but it is resolved quickly by our sexy hero. Overall a very satisfying short read with plenty of steamy hot sex! Definitely looking forward to the next one!

Wow!!! I just got done reading "The Greatest Miracle in the World", and I feel speechless - not sure I can convey the beauty & wonder of this story. Because of this, I will just say that this is an amazing little book - and I highly recommend it to EVERYONE!!!

What is it about? Well, it's about many things, but the most important point I guess is that we've all forgotten just how special we are - we've begun to just settle, believing that we can't create, or don't deserve, a better life. But through this amazing story, we can all begin to see that we can have a wonderful life, and that we do, in fact, deserve it!

At the end, you will find a message that can help you begin your journey to a better, more fulfilling life - it includes just 4 points to remember & ponder. Although I don't want to "spill the beans" re: what they are, suffice it to say that they will help you to open your eyes & realize just how special YOU really are, as well as all you have to offer.

The God Memorandum was introduced to me by Dr. Tom Costa, Pastor of Religious Science Church of the Desert ... near Palm Springs, California when it was incorporated into one of his many superb humorous sermons. The story itself is intriguing and I found that I couldn't put it down. After reading the "God Memorandum" chapter, I decided to do the 100 days as instructed. It wasn't easy but with each day I found it brought new positive thinking leading to new and positive decision making which created new positive experiences. It is now over a year since my 100 days. I can attest to a wonderfully changed life. A life that seems to continue to grow in love. Personally, I feel everyone should have the experience of this marvelous little book.

Another Winner of a Book

Mandino has contributed another masterpiece to the success/motivation literature. A quote attributed to Seneca helps sum up this book's theme, "soil, no matter how rich, could not be productive without cultivation and neither could our minds." This book provides the proper nourishment for the productive mind. The familiar aphorism "you are what you think" is developed in compelling fashion. Mandino is skilled in maintaining a bit of mystery as he expands upon principles familiar to readers of this genre. He holds his readers captive by the storytelling talent few possess to the degree of a few masters. Pathos is built by the characters and the situations painted in the mind's eye as the plot develops. There are some powerful insights that will motivate any reader with an open mind.

For each cation site, positional parameters, site symmetry, Wyckoff notation, nearest-neighbour distances, mean distances, standard deviation of distance, variance of central bond angle, quadratic elongation, and electrostatic energy are presented. All data, except for cell parameters and atom positions, are original calculations unique to this volume. Original polyhedral drawings of most of the structure types are also included. Mineralogists, petrologists, geochemists and geophysicists will find this unique book very useful. It may also serve as an advanced text for students in these fields.

About the Author
Marina Tsvetaeva was born in Moscow in 1892. Her first volume of poetry was published in 1910 and attracted notice from some of the most important critics and poets in Russia, including Maximilian Voloshin. In 1922, following the Russian Civil War, she went into exile in Paris, where she became one of the leading writers of the emigre community. In 1939, she returned to the Soviet Union, and her husband was arrested shortly thereafter and subsequently executed by the NKVD. Tsvetaeva committed suicide in Elabuga, a small town to which she had been evacuated following the onset of World War II, in 1941.

I am very glad to see another translation of Tsvetaeva's Phaedra but it is not the first one. Phaedra and Ariadne were translated recently by Zara M. Torlone and Maria S. Fox, also available on Amazon. The two poems must be read together, they are a part of an unfinished trilogy.

About the Author

Debra Leach, Ed.D., BCBA, is Assistant Professor of Special Education at Winthrop University and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She previously served as a public school teacher, as an early intervention provider, and as Associate Director for the Florida Atlantic University Center for Autism and Related Disabilities. Her main research interests include autism spectrum disorders, inclusion, applied behavior analysis, positive behavior supports, and early intervention. She enjoys training preservice teachers and working with school districts, families, and community groups to support the successful inclusion of children, adolescents, and adults with autism spectrum disorders in home, school, and community contexts.

Bringing ABA into the Inclusion Classroom is a great book! There are practical strategies that as a special ed. teacher, made it simple to work on problems students on the autism spectrum may have in the regular education classroom. This book is an easy read with great forms to print and use. I have read many books that claim to be easy to use, but this one really is. I spoke to an autism specialist in another county about a good book for special ed. teachers and this was the book she recommended. If you are working with autism students in inclusion settings, this book is a must have to help them be as successful as possible in the regular education setting. This book helps you target the problem, work with the family and regular ed. teacher, pinpoint the behavior strategies that will help with the problem, and track the progress. Would highly recommend this book for both special ed and regular ed teachers working with students on the autism spectrum.

This book helped me understand how to do ABA in the inclusive setting. This book includes examples, sample data sheets (love!), and great explanations that anyone can understand. I would buy this book for any special education teacher OR regular education teacher who interacts with students with autism. I have recommended it to several colleagues!

As a special educator, I make use of the information in this book on a daily basis. The book walks through the steps of assessing students, developing goals, writing teaching procedures, and monitoring progress. The examples and lesson plan templates provided in this book are incredibly helpful when developing teaching plans for individuals with autism. It is for this reason, that I point friends and colleagues in the direction of this book when asked questions about my job. While this book is incredibly relevant to my current role in an ABA program, I would recommend this book for anyone working with students with autism spectrum disorders.

Gorgeous graphic novel, fascinating story

I found the webcomic late (partway through its first season). The art alone was enough to make me stop and read a few panels. The writing and setting were intriguing enough to send me through the archives. The rest, as they say, is history.

The book has lost nothing of the comic. The pages are quality paper, glossy print with rich, subtle coloring (did I just miss it when I read it online? I notice details now that I did not last pass through).

The story is fascinating; a cast of fascinating characters, monsters that feel like dynamic beings (as opposed to the usual one-dimensional plot devices), all set in a blend of elements from the Cthulhu mythos. If you are unfamiliar with the Cthulhu stories (by H. P. Lovecraft and others) the story stands perfectly on its own - when I started the comic, I had not read any of the Lovecraft material. If you have read at least some of the Cthulhu stories, you will see familiar elements, locations, and more expanded on in a way that stays in line with the Cthulhu mythos.

A little something for everyone

As someone frequently exhausted by some of the tropes and clich�s and editorial calls of comics from Marvel and DC Comics, I find that Shadowgirls is a refreshing change of pace. The art is great and you get more depth from these characters in a single issue than some whole story arcs from other comics I could (but won't) name from the past couple years.

Season 1 introduces us to a variety of characters, each with different motivations, flaws, strengths, and weaknesses. You truly begin to feel for many of them (and some you didn't expect to feel for at all. Ever). They invoke more emotion than the yearly "Big Events" dished out by The Big Two. You get to know them fairly well, fairly quickly, while still leaving an air of mystery that makes you want to keep reading.

If you love comics, but are fatigued by, or need a palette-cleanser from the same-old, same-old, I recommend giving Shadowgirls a try. But please note, this book is not for kids.

The best modern interpretation of Lovecraft.

Shadowgirls is a gripping story with great art. The characters grab your attention and demand emotional reaction - though it may not always be the reaction you would expect. The characters are three dimensional to a degree normally found in full blown novels, not standalone graphic novels. If you love Lovecraft, you will probably love Shadowgirls. If you have never heard of H.P. Lovecraft, but love supernatural horror, you need to check out Shadowgirls.

This authorized history, written by a former officer in the Parachute Regiment, covers the formation, training and deployment of the British airborne arm from its inception in 1942 to the present. Initially comprised of volunteers from all British Army units, the Parachute Regiment saw its first action in 1942 during a raid against a German radar station in occupied France. During the remaining years of WW II, it saw service in North Africa and Italy, was given the task of holding the left flank of the Normandy beachhead in June '44 and firmly established itself as an elite force during Operation Market Garden in Holland that same year. Harclerode chronicles the Regiment's post-WW II assignments in trouble spots such as Suez, Palestine, Cyprus, Malaya, Northern Ireland, Aden and the Falklands campaign of 1982. Legendary patrols and individual Victoria Cross-winning exploits are detailed in a fact-heavy, pedestrian narrative. The emphasis throughout is on the Parachute Regiment's versatility (the unit motto, Utrinque Paratus , means "Ready for Anything"). Illustrated.

"PARA" is an excellent self contained book on the British Armies famed Para-Regiment.

Mr.Harclerode has written an excellent book. This and others he has written about the Para's should be read and kept as refernce for any questions you may have about Airborne/Parachute Force.

A "Winner" hands down!!!
