As a handbook for practitioners it uses logical step by step procedures and examples from inception and risk appraisal, through design and construction to testing and commissioning, to show how an effective and dynamic time model can be used to manage the risk of delay to completion of construction projects.

Finally, a real world guide to complex construction projects

Too many books have been writen from ivory towers.
This 'GUIDE' lays out the why's and wherefors that
time managers need to understand if they are going
to execute their projects on-time, on-budget, and
profitably too. A must read for real-world
construction managers. One that they will refer
to many times.

Highly disappointing

Very disappointing book. I was attracted to it by having complex projects in the title. But the author defines a complex project in such a way that the majority of projects fall into that category. Even a simple, 3 story building would be considered a complex project. There is nothing in here that would help manage what most people would consider complex projects, those over $500 million or so.
This is a pretty simple book and there are many better ones available for complex projects.
