About the Author
Jessica N. Watkins was born April 1st in Chicago, Illinois. She obtained a Bachelors of Arts with Focus in Psychology from DePaul University and Masters of Applied Professional Studies with focus in Business Administration from the like institution. Working in Hospital Administration for the majority of her career, Watkins has also been an author of fiction literature since the young age of nine. Eventually she used writing as an outlet during her freshmen year of high school as a single parent: “In the third grade I entered a short story contest with a fiction tale of an apple tree that refused to grow despite the efforts of the darling main character. My writing evolved from apple trees to my seventh and eighth grade classmates paying me to read novels I wrote about kids our age living the lives our parents wouldn’t dare let us”. At the age of twenty-eight, Watkins’ chronicles have matured into steamy, humorous, and realistic tales of women’s fiction. She hopes that the Epitome of Femistry series will successfully emulate ideal femininity while tackling stereotypes, familiar heartache, and relatable distress in a humorous and sophisticated fashion. Psycho Side Chick is more like it

Now I must admit when I first started reading this book I almost put it down because I felt that the author was bringing too many characters into the story line at once without any background or development. This is an automatic turn off for me...but something just told me to keep on and surprisingly this turned out to be a very good read.
Speaking of characters, Tammi, Dontae and Jimmy could have been left out of this all together, I felt they were irrelevant to the story and added nothing to it. Just basically taking up space throughout the book. The characters Simone,Omari and Ayesha could have carried this whole book on their own. Their storyline was crazy! The ending was mixed with sadness and disbelief, I noticed that there are other parts to this book, but if it ended right here I would have actually been content.
This story had all types of lies, foolery, cheating and deceit going on. A lot of these characters made me so mad that I didn't know who's a** I would have wanted to kick first if I had the chance.

Strangely Addicting...

Not the best writing and the characters pissed me off a lot. But very real to life and situations. I like this book because everyone in it has their own issues. There is no overall good character and I think that's what kept me reading. The ending was very unexpected and bizarre but it got me hooked...now I HAVE to read the second!

Jessica Watkins hands down is an amazing author. I can't remember how I even found her series but it was a book I COULD NOT put down. I finished this book in a week and was craving for more. I believe this series has now ended, because I done read every last one of them.
Her style reminds me of Sista Souljah, and Zane combined. She definitely needs more recognition for her work, she is amazing!
This book will have you hooked to the fictional characters, it will make you believe they really exist and you feel connected to them. I was immediately hooked once I started reading. I had to get the whole series because it really leaves you wanting more.
